The burdenof the wordof the LORDin the landof Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the restthereof: whenthe eyesof man, as of allthe tribesof Israel, shall be toward the LORD. And Hamathalsoshall borderthereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, thoughit be verywise. And Tyrusdid buildherself a stronghold, and heaped upsilveras the dust, and fine goldas the mireof the streets. Behold, the Lordwill cast her out, and he will smiteher powerin the sea; and sheshall be devouredwith fire. Ashkelonshall see it , and fear; Gazaalso shall see it , and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; forher expectationshall be ashamed; and the kingshall perishfrom Gaza, and Ashkelonshall notbe inhabited. And a bastardshall dwellin Ashdod, and I will cut offthe prideof the Philistines. And I will take awayhis bloodout of his mouth, and his abominationsfrom betweenhis teeth: but he that remaineth, evenhe, shall be for our God, and he shall beas a governorin Judah, and Ekronas a Jebusite. And I will encampabout mine housebecause of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and nooppressorshall passthroughthem any more: fornowhave I seenwith mine eyes. Rejoicegreatly, O daughterof Zion; shout, O daughterof Jerusalem: behold, thy Kingcomethunto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and ridinguponan ass, and upona coltthe foalof an ass. And I will cut offthe chariotfrom Ephraim, and the horsefrom Jerusalem, and the battlebowshall be cut off: and he shall speakpeaceunto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even tosea, and from the river even tothe endsof the earth. As for theealso, by the bloodof thy covenantI have sent forththy prisonersout of the pitwherein is nowater. Turnyou to the stronghold, ye prisonersof hope: eventodaydo I declare that I will renderdoubleunto thee; WhenI have bentJudahfor me, filledthe bowwith Ephraim, and raisedup thy sons, O Zion, againstthy sons, O Greece, and madethee as the swordof a mighty man. And the LORDshall be seenoverthem, and his arrowshall go forthas the lightning: and the LordGODshall blowthe trumpet, and shall gowith whirlwindsof the south. The LORDof hostsshall defendthem; and they shall devour, and subduewith slingstones; and they shall drink, and make a noiseas throughwine; and they shall be filledlike bowls, and as the cornersof the altar. And the LORDtheir Godshall savethem in thatdayas the flockof his people: forthey shall be as the stonesof a crown, lifted up as an ensignuponhis land. Forhowgreat is his goodness, and howgreat is his beauty! cornshall make the young mencheerful, and new winethe maids.
