That we may buythe poorfor silver, and the needyfora pair of shoes; yea , and sellthe refuseof the wheat? The LORDhath swornby the excellencyof Jacob, SurelyI will neverforgetanyof their works. Shall notthe landtrembleforthis, and every onemournthat dwelleththerein? and it shall rise upwhollyas a flood; and it shall be cast outand drowned, as by the floodof Egypt. And it shall come to passin thatday, saiththe LordGOD, that I will cause the sunto go downat noon, and I will darkenthe earthin the clearday: And I will turnyour feastsinto mourning, and allyour songsinto lamentation; and I will bring upsackclothuponallloins, and baldnessuponeveryhead; and I will makeit as the mourningof an only son , and the endthereof as a bitterday. In thatdayshall the fairvirginsand young menfaintfor thirst. They that swearby the sinof Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The mannerof Beer-sheba liveth; even they shall fall, and neverrise upagain.
