And the LORDspokeuntoMosesin mountSinai, saying, Speakuntothe childrenof Israel, and sayuntothem, Whenye comeintothe landwhichIgiveyou, then shall the landkeepa sabbathunto the LORD. Sixyearsthou shalt sowthy field, and sixyearsthou shalt prunethy vineyard, and gather inthe fruitthereof; But in the seventhyearshall bea sabbathof restunto the land, a sabbathfor the LORD: thou shalt neithersowthy field, norprunethy vineyard. That which groweth of its own accordof thy harvestthou shalt notreap, neithergatherthe grapesof thy vine undressed: for it isa yearof restunto the land. And the sabbathof the landshall bemeatfor you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy strangerthat sojournethwiththee, And for thy cattle, and for the beastthat are in thy land, shall allthe increasethereof bemeat. And thou shalt numbersevensabbathsof yearsunto thee, seventimessevenyears; and the spaceof the sevensabbathsof yearsshall beunto thee fortyand nineyears. Then shalt thou cause the trumpetof the jubileeto soundon the tenth day of the seventhmonth, in the dayof atonementshall ye make the trumpetsoundthroughout allyour land. And ye shall hallowthe fiftiethyear, and proclaimlibertythroughout all the landunto allthe inhabitantsthereof: itshall bea jubileeunto you; and ye shall returnevery manuntohis possession, and ye shall returnevery manuntohis family. A jubileeshall thatfiftiethyearbeunto you: ye shall notsow, neitherreapthat which groweth of itselfin it, norgather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. Forit is the jubilee; it shall beholyunto you: ye shall eatthe increasethereof out ofthe field. In the yearof thisjubileeye shall returnevery manuntohis possession. And ifthou sellaughtunto thy neighbor, orbuyest aught of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall notoppressoneanother: According to the numberof yearsafterthe jubileethou shalt buyofthy neighbor, and according unto the numberof yearsof the fruitshe shall sellunto thee: According tothe multitudeof yearsthou shalt increasethe pricethereof, and according tothe fewnessof yearsthou shalt diminishthe priceof it: for according to the number of the years of the fruitsdoth hesellunto thee. Ye shall nottherefore oppressoneanother; but thou shalt fear thy God: forI am the LORDyour God. Wherefore ye shall domy statutes, and keepmy judgments, and dothem; and ye shall dwellinthe landin safety. And the landshall yieldher fruit, and ye shall eatyour fill, and dwellthereinin safety. And ifye shall say, Whatshall we eatthe seventhyear? behold, we shall notsow, norgather inour increase: Then I will commandmy blessingupon you in the sixthyear, and it shall bring forthfruitfor threeyears. And ye shall sowthe eighthyear, and eat yet ofoldfruituntilthe ninthyear; untilher fruitscome inye shall eat of the old store . The landshall notbe soldforever: forthe land is mine; forye are strangersand sojournerswithme. And in allthe landof your possessionye shall granta redemptionfor the land. Ifthy brotherbe waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kincometo redeemit, then shall he redeemthat which his brother sold. And ifthe manhavenone to redeemit, and himselfbe ableto redeemit; Then let him countthe yearsof the salethereof, and restorethe surplusunto the manto whomhe soldit; that he may returnunto his possession. But ifhebe not ableto restore it to him, then that which is soldshall remainin the handof him that hath boughtit untilthe yearof jubilee: and in the jubileeit shall go out, and he shall returnunto his possession. And ifa mansella dwellinghousein a walledcity, then he may redeemit withina wholeyearafter it is sold; within a full yearmay he redeemit. And ifit be notredeemedwithinthe spaceof a fullyear, then the housethat is in the walledcityshall be establishedforeverto him that boughtit throughout his generations: it shall notgo outin the jubilee. But the housesof the villageswhichhave nowallround aboutthem shall be countedasthe fieldsof the country: they may beredeemed, and they shall go outin the jubilee. Notwithstanding the citiesof the Levites, and the housesof the citiesof their possession, may the Levitesredeemat any time. And if a manpurchaseofthe Levites, then the housethat was sold, and the cityof his possession, shall go outin the year of jubilee: forthe housesof the citiesof the Levites are their possessionamongthe childrenof Israel. But the fieldof the suburbsof their citiesmay notbe sold; forit is their perpetualpossession. And ifthy brotherbe waxen poor, and fallen in decaywiththee; then thou shalt relievehim: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may livewiththee. Takethou nousuryofhim, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brothermay livewiththee. Thou shalt notgivehim thy moneyupon usury, norlendhim thy victualsfor increase. I am the LORDyour God, whichbrought you forthout of the landof Egypt, to giveyou the landof Canaan, and to beyour God. And ifthy brother that dwelleth bythee be waxen poor, and be soldunto thee; thou shalt notcompel him to serveas a bondservant: But as a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall bewiththee, and shall servethee untothe yearof jubilee: And then shall he departfromthee, both heand his childrenwithhim, and shall returnuntohis own family, and untothe possessionof his fathersshall he return. Forthey are my servants, whichI brought forthout of the landof Egypt: they shall notbe soldas bondmen. Thou shalt notruleover him with rigor; but shalt fear thy God. Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whichthou shalt have, shall be ofthe heathenthatare round aboutyou; ofthem shall ye buybondmenand bondmaids. Moreoverof the childrenof the strangersthat do sojournamongyou, ofthem shall ye buy, and of their familiesthat are withyou, whichthey begotin your land: and they shall beyour possession. And ye shall take them as an inheritancefor your childrenafteryou, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmenforever: but over your brethrenthe childrenof Israel, ye shall notruleoneover anotherwith rigor. And ifa sojourneror strangerwax richbythee, and thy brother that dwelleth byhim wax poor, and sell himselfunto the stranger or sojournerbythee, orto the stockof the stranger's family: After thathe is soldhe may beredeemed again; oneof his brethrenmay redeemhim: Eitherhis uncle, orhis uncle's son, may redeemhim, or any that is nighof kinunto him of his familymay redeemhim; orif he be able, he may redeem himself. And he shall reckonwithhim that boughthim from the yearthat he was soldto him untothe yearof jubilee: and the priceof his saleshall beaccording unto the numberof years, according to the timeof a hired servantshall it bewithhim. If there be yetmanyyears behind , according untothem he shall give againthe price of his redemptionout of the moneythat he was boughtfor. And ifthere remainbut fewyearsuntothe yearof jubilee, then he shall countwith him, and according untohis yearsshall he give him againthe price of his redemption. And as a yearlyhired servantshall he bewithhim: and the other shall notrule with rigor overhim in thy sight. And ifhe be notredeemedin these years , then he shall go outin the yearof jubilee, both he, and his childrenwithhim. Forunto me the childrenof Israel are servants; they are my servantswhomI brought forthout of the landof Egypt: I am the LORDyour God.
