But he shall notdefile himself, being a chief manamong his people, to profane himself. They shall notmakebaldnessupon their head, neithershall they shave offthe cornerof their beard, normakeany cuttingsin their flesh. They shall beholyunto their God, and notprofanethe nameof their God: forthe offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the breadof their God, theydo offer: therefore they shall beholy. They shall nottakea wife that is a whore, or profane; neithershall they takea womanput awayfrom her husband: forhe is holyunto his God. Thou shalt sanctifyhim therefore; forheoffereththe breadof thy God: he shall beholyunto thee: forIthe LORD, which sanctifyyou, am holy. And the daughterof anypriest, ifshe profane herselfby playing the whore, sheprofanethher father: she shall be burntwith fire. And he that is the highpriestamong his brethren, uponwhoseheadthe anointingoilwas poured, and that is consecratedto put onthe garments, shall notuncoverhis head, norrendhis clothes; Neithershall he go intoanydeadbody, nordefile himselffor his father, or for his mother; Neithershall he go outofthe sanctuary, norprofanethe sanctuaryof his God; forthe crownof the anointingoilof his God is uponhim: I am the LORD. And heshall takea wifein her virginity. A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or a harlot, theseshall he nottake: buthe shall takea virginof his own peopleto wife. Neithershall he profanehis seedamong his people: forIthe LORDdo sanctifyhim. And the LORDspokeuntoMoses, saying, SpeakuntoAaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seedin their generationsthat hath any blemish, let him notapproachto offerthe breadof his God. Forwhatsoeverman he be thathath a blemish, he shall notapproach: a blindman, ora lame, orhe that hath a flat nose, orany thing superfluous, Ora manthatisbroken-footed, orbroken-handed, Orcrookbacked, ora dwarf, orthat hath a blemishin his eye, orbe scurvy, orscabbed, orhath his stonesbroken; Nomanthathath a blemishof the seedof Aaronthe priestshall come nighto offerthe offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall notcome nighto offerthe breadof his God. He shall eatthe breadof his God, both of the most holy, and ofthe holy. Onlyhe shall notgo inuntothe veil, norcome nighuntothe altar, becausehe hath a blemish; that he profanenotmy sanctuaries: forIthe LORDdo sanctifythem. And Mosestold it untoAaron, and tohis sons, and untoallthe childrenof Israel.
