Now is the end come uponthee, and I will sendmine angerupon thee, and will judgethee according to thy ways, and will recompenseuponthee allthine abominations. And mine eyeshall notsparethee, neitherwill I have pity: butI will recompensethy waysuponthee, and thine abominationsshall bein the midstof thee: and ye shall knowthatI am the LORD. Beholdthe day, behold, it is come: the morningis gone forth; the rodhath blossomed, pridehath budded. Violenceis risen upinto a rodof wickedness: noneofthem shall remain , norof their multitude, norof any of theirs: neither shall there be wailingfor them. The timeis come, the daydraweth near: let notthe buyerrejoice, northe sellermourn: forwrath is uponallthe multitudethereof. Forthe sellershall notreturntothat which is sold, although they were yetalive: forthe vision is touchingthe wholemultitudethereof, which shall notreturn; neithershall anystrengthen himselfin the iniquityof his life. They have blownthe trumpet, even to make all ready; but nonegoethto the battle: formy wrath is uponallthe multitudethereof. The sword is without, and the pestilenceand the faminewithin: he that is in the fieldshall diewith the sword; and he that is in the city, famineand pestilenceshall devourhim. But they that escapeof them shall escape, and shall beonthe mountainslike dovesof the valleys, allof them mourning, every onefor his iniquity. Allhandsshall be feeble, and allkneesshall be weak as water. They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horrorshall coverthem; and shame shall be uponallfaces, and baldnessupon alltheir heads. They shall casttheir silverin the streets, and their goldshall beremoved: their silverand their goldshall notbe ableto deliverthem in the dayof the wrathof the LORD: they shall notsatisfytheir souls, neitherfilltheir bowels: becauseit isthe stumblingblockof their iniquity. As for the beautyof his ornament, he setit in majesty: but they madethe imagesof their abominations and of their detestable thingstherein: thereforehave I setit farfrom them. And I will giveit into the handsof the strangersfor a prey, and to the wickedof the earthfor a spoil; and they shall polluteit. My facewill I turnalso fromthem, and they shall pollutemy secret place : for the robbersshall enterinto it, and defileit. Makea chain: forthe landis fullof bloodycrimes, and the cityis fullof violence. Wherefore I will bringthe worstof the heathen, and they shall possesstheir houses: I will also make the pompof the strongto cease; and their holy placesshall be defiled. Destructioncometh; and they shall seekpeace, and there shall be none. Mischiefshall comeuponmischief, and rumorshall beuponrumor; then shall they seeka visionof the prophet; but the lawshall perishfrom the priest, and counselfrom the ancients. The kingshall mourn, and the princeshall be clothedwith desolation, and the handsof the peopleof the landshall be troubled: I will dounto them after their way, and according to their desertswill I judgethem; and they shall knowthatI am the LORD.
