Afterward he brought me againuntothe doorof the house; and, behold, watersissued outfrom underthe thresholdof the houseeastward: forthe forefrontof the house stood toward the east, and the waterscame downfrom underfrom the right sideof the house, at the south side of the altar. Then brought he me outof the wayof the gatenorthward, and led me aboutthe waywithoutuntothe uttergateby the waythat looketheastward; and, behold, there ran outwatersonthe rightside. And when the manthat had the linein his handwent fortheastward, he measureda thousandcubits, and he broughtme through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measureda thousand, and broughtme through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measureda thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measureda thousand; and it was a riverthatI couldnotpass over: forthe waterswere risen, watersto swim in, a riverthatcould notbe passed over. And he saiduntome, Sonof man, hast thou seen this ? Then he broughtme, and caused me to returnto the brinkof the river. Now when I had returned, behold, atthe bankof the river were verymanytreeson the one sideand on the other. Then saidhe untome, Thesewatersissue outtowardthe eastcountry, and go downintothe desert, and go intothe sea: which being brought forthintothe sea, the watersshall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that everythingthat liveth, whichmoveth, whithersoeverthe riversshall come, shall live: and there shall bea verygreatmultitude of fish, becausethesewatersshall comethither: for they shall be healed; and every thingshall livewhitherthe rivercometh. And it shall come to pass, that the fishersshall standuponit from En-gedi even untoEneglaim; they shall bea place to spread forthnets; their fishshall beaccording to their kinds, as the fishof the greatsea, exceedingmany. But the miry placesthereof and the marshesthereof shall notbe healed; they shall be givento salt. And bythe riveruponthe bankthereof, on this sideand on that side, shall growalltreesfor meat, whose leafshall notfade, neithershall the fruitthereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruitaccording to his months, becausetheir waterstheyissued outofthe sanctuary: and the fruitthereof shall befor meat, and the leafthereof for medicine. Thussaiththe LordGOD; This shall be the border, wherebyye shall inheritthe landaccording to the twelvetribesof Israel: Joseph shall have two portions. And ye shall inheritit, oneas well as another: concerning the whichI lifted upmine handto giveit unto your fathers: and thislandshall fallunto you for inheritance. And this shall be the borderof the landtoward the northside, fromthe greatsea, the wayof Hethlon, as men goto Zedad; Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is betweenthe borderof Damascusand the borderof Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is bythe coastof Hauran. And the borderfromthe seashall beHazar-enan, the borderof Damascus, and the northnorthward, and the borderof Hamath. And this is the northside. And the eastsideye shall measurefromHauran, and fromDamascus, and fromGilead, and fromthe landof Israel by Jordan, from the borderuntothe eastsea. And this is the eastside. And the southsidesouthward, from Tamar even tothe watersof strife in Kadesh, the rivertothe greatsea. And this is the southsidesouthward. The westsidealso shall be the greatseafrom the border, tilla man comeover againstHamath. This is the westside. So shall ye dividethislandunto you according to the tribesof Israel. And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lotfor an inheritanceunto you, and to the strangersthat sojournamongyou, whichshall begetchildrenamongyou: and they shall beunto you as born in the countryamong the childrenof Israel; they shall haveinheritancewithyou amongthe tribesof Israel. And it shall come to pass, that in whattribethe strangersojourneth, thereshall ye give him his inheritance, saiththe LordGOD.
