Then he brought me forthintothe uttercourt, the waytowardthe north: and he broughtme intothe chamberthat was over againstthe separate place, and which was beforethe buildingtowardthe north. Beforethe lengthof a hundredcubits was the northdoor, and the breadth was fiftycubits. Over againstthe twenty cubits which were for the innercourt, and, over againstthe pavementwhich was for the uttercourt, was galleryagainstgalleryin three stories . And beforethe chambers was a walkof tencubitsbreadthinward, a wayof onecubit; and their doorstoward the north. Now the upperchambers were shorter: forthe gallerieswere higherthan these, than the lower, and than the middlemostof the building. Forthey were in three stories , but had notpillarsas the pillarsof the courts: therefore the building was straitenedmore than the lowestand the middlemostfrom the ground. And the wallthat was withoutover againstthe chambers, towardthe uttercourtonthe forepartof the chambers, the lengththereof was fiftycubits. Forthe lengthof the chambersthat were in the uttercourt was fiftycubits: and, lo, beforethe temple were a hundredcubits. And from underthesechambers was the entryon the east side, as one goethinto themfrom the utter court. The chambers were in the thicknessof the wallof the courttowardthe east, over againstthe separate place, and over againstthe building. And the waybeforethem was like the appearanceof the chamberswhich were towardthe north, as longas they, and asbroadas they: and alltheir goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors. And according to the doorsof the chambersthat were towardthe south was a doorin the headof the way, even the waydirectlybeforethe walltowardthe east, as one enterethinto them. Then saidhe untome, The northchambers and the southchambers, which are beforethe separate place, they be holychambers, wherethe prieststhatapproachunto the LORDshall eatthe most holy things: thereshall they laythe most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; forthe place is holy. When the priestsentertherein, then shall they notgo outof the holy place intothe uttercourt, but therethey shall laytheir garmentswhereinthey minister; forthey are holy; and shall put onothergarments, and shall approachto those things which are for the people. Now when he had made an endof measuringthe innerhouse, he brought me forthtowardthe gatewhoseprospect is towardthe east, and measuredit round about. He measuredthe eastsidewith the measuringreed, fivehundredreeds, with the measuringreedround about. He measuredthe northside, fivehundredreeds, with the measuringreedround about. He measuredthe southside, fivehundredreeds, with the measuringreed. He turned abouttothe westside, and measuredfivehundredreedswith the measuringreed. He measuredit by the foursides: it had a wallround about, fivehundred reeds long, and fivehundredbroad, to make a separationbetweenthe sanctuaryand the profane place.
