In the tenthyear, in the tenth month , in the twelfth day of the month, the wordof the LORDcameuntome, saying, Sonof man, setthy faceagainstPharaohkingof Egypt, and prophesyagainsthim, and againstallEgypt: Speak, and say, Thussaiththe LordGOD; Behold, I am againstthee, Pharaohkingof Egypt, the greatdragonthat liethin the midstof his rivers, whichhath said, My river is mine own, and Ihave made it for myself. But I will puthooksin thy jaws, and I will cause the fishof thy riversto stickunto thy scales, and I will bring thee upout of the midstof thy rivers, and allthe fishof thy riversshall stickunto thy scales. And I will leavethee thrown into the wilderness, thee and allthe fishof thy rivers: thou shalt falluponthe openfields; thou shalt notbe brought together, norgathered: I have giventhee for meatto the beastsof the fieldand to the fowlsof the heaven. And allthe inhabitantsof Egyptshall knowthatI am the LORD, becausethey have beena staffof reedto the houseof Israel. When they took holdof thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rendalltheir shoulder: and when they leaneduponthee, thou didst broke, and madest alltheir loinsto be at a stand. Thereforethussaiththe LordGOD; Behold, I will bringa sworduponthee, and cut offmanand beastout ofthee. And the landof Egyptshall bedesolateand waste; and they shall knowthatI am the LORD: becausehe hath said, The river is mine, and Ihave made it . Behold, thereforeI am againstthee, and againstthy rivers, and I will makethe landof Egyptutterly waste and desolate, from the towerof Syeneeven untothe borderof Ethiopia. Nofootof manshall passthrough it, norfootof beastshall passthrough it, neithershall it be inhabitedfortyyears. And I will makethe landof Egyptdesolatein the midstof the countries that are desolate, and her citiesamongthe cities that are laid wasteshall bedesolatefortyyears: and I will scatterthe Egyptiansamong the nations, and will dispersethem through the countries. Yetthussaiththe LordGOD; At the endof fortyyearswill I gatherthe Egyptiansfromthe peoplewhitherthey were scattered: And I will bring againthe captivityof Egypt, and will cause them to return into the landof Pathros, intothe landof their habitation; and they shall betherea basekingdom. It shall bethe basestofthe kingdoms; neithershall it exalt itselfany moreabovethe nations: for I will diminishthem, that they shall no moreruleover the nations. And it shall benomorethe confidenceof the houseof Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall lookafterthem: but they shall knowthatI am the LordGOD. And it came to passin the sevenand twentiethyear, in the first month , in the first day of the month, the wordof the LORDcameuntome, saying, Sonof man, Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babyloncaused his armyto servea greatserviceagainstTyrus: everyhead was made bald, and everyshoulder was peeled: yet hadhe nowages, nor his army, for Tyrus, forthe servicethathe had servedagainstit: Thereforethussaiththe LordGOD; Behold, I will givethe landof Egyptunto Nebuchadnezzarkingof Babylon; and he shall takeher multitude, and takeher spoil, and takeher prey; and it shall bethe wagesfor his army. I have givenhim the landof Egypt for his laborwherewithhe servedagainst it, becausethey wroughtfor me, saiththe LordGOD. In thatdaywill I cause the hornof the houseof Israelto bud forth, and I will givethee the openingof the mouthin the midstof them; and they shall knowthatI am the LORD.
