The wordof the LORDcameagain untome, saying, Sonof man, sayunto the princeof Tyrus, Thussaiththe LordGOD; Becausethine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seatof God, in the midstof the seas; yet thou art a man, and notGod, though thou setthine heartas the heartof God: Behold, thou art wiserthan Daniel; there is nosecretthat they can hidefrom thee: With thy wisdomand with thine understandingthou hast gottenthee riches, and hast gottengoldand silverinto thy treasures: By thy greatwisdom and by thy traffichast thou increasedthy riches, and thine heartis lifted upbecause of thy riches: Thereforethussaiththe LordGOD; Becausethou hast setthine heartas the heartof God; Behold, thereforeI will bringstrangersuponthee, the terribleof the nations: and they shall drawtheir swordsagainstthe beautyof thy wisdom, and they shall defilethy brightness. They shall bring thee downto the pit, and thou shalt diethe deathsof them that are slainin the midstof the seas. Wilt thou yet saybeforehim that slayeththee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and noGod, in the handof him that slayeththee. Thou shalt diethe deathsof the uncircumcisedby the handof strangers: forIhave spoken it , saiththe LordGOD. Moreover the wordof the LORDcameuntome, saying, Sonof man, take upa lamentationuponthe kingof Tyrus, and sayunto him, Thussaiththe LordGOD; Thousealest upthe sum, fullof wisdom, and perfectin beauty. Thou hast beenin Edenthe gardenof God; everypreciousstone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanshipof thy tabretsand of thy pipeswas preparedin thee in the daythat thou wast created. Thou art the anointedcherubthat covereth; and I have setthee so : thou wastupon the holymountainof God; thou hast walked up and downin the midstof the stonesof fire. Thou wast perfectin thy waysfrom the daythat thou wast created, tilliniquitywas foundin thee. By the multitudeof thy merchandisethey have filledthe midstof thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profaneout of the mountainof God: and I will destroythee, O coveringcherub, from the midstof the stonesof fire. Thine heartwas lifted upbecause of thy beauty, thou hast corruptedthy wisdomby reason ofthy brightness: I will castthee tothe ground, I will laythee beforekings, that they may beholdthee. Thou hast defiledthy sanctuariesby the multitudeof thine iniquities, by the iniquityof thy traffic; therefore will I bring fortha firefrom the midstof thee, itshall devourthee, and I will bringthee to ashesuponthe earthin the sightof allthem that beholdthee. Allthey that knowthee among the peopleshall be astonishedatthee: thou shalt bea terror, and never shalt thou be any more. Again the wordof the LORDcameuntome, saying, Sonof man, setthy faceagainstZidon, and prophesyagainstit, And say, Thussaiththe LordGOD; Behold, I am againstthee, O Zidon; and I will be glorifiedin the midstof thee: and they shall knowthatI am the LORD, when I shall have executedjudgmentsin her, and shall be sanctifiedin her. For I will sendinto her pestilence, and bloodinto her streets; and the woundedshall be judgedin the midstof her by the sworduponher on every side; and they shall knowthatI am the LORD. And there shall benomorea prickingbrierunto the houseof Israel, nor any grievingthornof all that are round aboutthem, that despisedthem; and they shall knowthatI am the LordGOD. Thussaiththe LordGOD; When I shall have gatheredthe houseof Israelfromthe peopleamong whomthey are scattered, and shall be sanctifiedin them in the sightof the heathen, then shall they dwellintheir landthatI have givento my servantJacob. And they shall dwellsafelytherein, and shall buildhouses, and plantvineyards; yea, they shall dwellwith confidence, when I have executedjudgmentsupon allthose that despisethem round aboutthem; and they shall knowthatI am the LORDtheir God.
