Thussaiththe LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the housethatye buildunto me? and where is theplaceof my rest? For allthose things hath mine handmade, and allthose things have been, saiththe LORD: but tothis man will I look, even to him that is poorand of a contritespirit, and tremblethatmy word. He that killethan ox is as if he slewa man; he that sacrificetha lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offerethan oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burnethincense, as if he blessedan idol. Yea, theyhave chosentheir own ways, and their souldelightethin their abominations. Ialsowill choosetheir delusions, and will bringtheir fearsupon them; becausewhen I called, nonedid answer; when I spoke, they did nothear: but they didevilbefore mine eyes, and chose that in whichI delightednot. Hearthe wordof the LORD, ye that trembleathis word; Your brethrenthat hatedyou, that cast you outfor my name's sake, said, Let the LORDbe glorified: but he shall appearto your joy, and theyshall be ashamed. A voiceof noisefrom the city, a voicefrom the temple, a voiceof the LORDthat renderethrecompenseto his enemies. Beforeshe travailed, she brought forth; beforeher paincame, she was deliveredof a man child. Whohath heardsuch a thing? whohath seensuch things? Shall the earthbe made to bring forthin oneday? or shall a nationbe bornat once? foras soonas Ziontravailed, she brought forthher children. Shall Ibring to the birth, and notcause to bring forth? saiththe LORD: shall Icause to bring forth, and shut the womb ? saiththy God. Rejoiceye withJerusalem, and be gladwith her, allye that loveher: rejoicefor joywithher, allye that mournforher: Thatye may suck, and be satisfiedwith the breastsof her consolations; thatye may milk out, and be delightedwith the abundanceof her glory. Forthussaiththe LORD, Behold, I will extendpeacetoher like a river, and the gloryof the Gentileslike a flowingstream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borneupon her sides, and be dandledupon her knees. As onewhomhis mothercomforteth, sowill Icomfortyou; and ye shall be comfortedin Jerusalem. And when ye see this , your heartshall rejoice, and your bonesshall flourishlike an herb: and the handof the LORDshall be knowntowardhis servants, and his indignationtowardhis enemies. For, behold, the LORDwill comewith fire, and with his chariotslike a whirlwind, to renderhis angerwith fury, and his rebukewith flamesof fire. Forby fireand by his swordwill the LORDpleadwithallflesh: and the slainof the LORDshall be many. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselvesinthe gardensbehindone tree in the midst, eatingswine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumedtogether, saiththe LORD. For I know their worksand their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gatherallnationsand tongues; and they shall come, and seemy glory. And I will seta signamong them, and I will sendthose that escapeof themuntothe nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that drawthe bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the islesafar off, thathave notheardmy fame, neitherhave seenmy glory; and they shall declaremy gloryamong the Gentiles. And they shall bringallyour brethren for an offeringunto the LORDout of allnationsupon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, tomy holymountainJerusalem, saiththe LORD, asthe childrenof Israelbringan offeringin a cleanvesselinto the houseof the LORD. And I will alsotakeofthem for priests and for Levites, saiththe LORD. Forasthe newheavensand the newearth, whichIwill make, shall remainbeforeme, saiththe LORD, soshall your seedand your nameremain. And it shall come to pass, that fromone new moonto another, and fromone sabbathto another, shall allfleshcometo worshipbeforeme, saiththe LORD. And they shall go forth, and lookupon the carcassesof the menthat have transgressedagainst me: fortheir wormshall notdie, neithershall their firebe quenched; and they shall bean abhorringunto allflesh.
