But nowthussaiththe LORDthat createdthee, O Jacob, and he that formedthee, O Israel, Fearnot: forI have redeemedthee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Whenthou passest throughthe waters, I will be withthee; and through the rivers, they shall notoverflowthee: whenthou walkestthroughthe fire, thou shalt notbe burned; neithershall the flamekindleupon thee. ForI am the LORDthy God, the Holy Oneof Israel, thy Savior: I gaveEgypt for thy ransom, Ethiopiaand Sebaforthee. Sincethou wast preciousin my sight, thou hast been honorable, and Ihave lovedthee: therefore will I givemenforthee, and peopleforthy life. Fearnot: forI am withthee: I will bringthy seedfrom the east, and gatherthee from the west; I will sayto the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bringmy sonsfrom far, and my daughtersfrom the endsof the earth; Even every onethat is calledby my name: for I have createdhim for my glory, I have formedhim; yea, I have madehim. Bring forththe blindpeoplethat haveeyes, and the deafthat have ears. Let allthe nationsbe gatheredtogether, and let the peoplebe assembled: whoamong them can declarethis, and showus former things? let them bring forththeir witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saiththe LORD, and my servantwhomI have chosen: thatye may knowand believeme, and understandthatI am he: beforeme there was noGodformed, neithershall there beafterme. I, even I, am the LORD; and besideme there is nosavior. Ihave declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was nostrange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saiththe LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is nonethat can deliverout of my hand: I will work, and whoshall letit? Thussaiththe LORD, your redeemer, the Holy Oneof Israel; For your sakeI have sentto Babylon, and have brought downalltheir nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships. I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creatorof Israel, your King. Thussaiththe LORD, which maketha wayin the sea, and a pathin the mightywaters; Which bringeth forththe chariotand horse, the armyand the power; they shall lie downtogether, they shall notrise: they are extinct, they are quenchedas tow. Rememberye notthe former things, neitherconsiderthe things of old. Behold, I will doa new thing; nowit shall spring forth; shall ye notknowit? I will evenmakea wayin the wilderness, and riversin the desert. The beastof the fieldshall honorme, the dragonsand the owls: becauseI givewatersin the wilderness, and riversin the desert, to give drinkto my people, my chosen. Thispeoplehave I formedfor myself; they shall show forthmy praise. But thou hast notcalled uponme, O Jacob; butthou hast been wearyof me, O Israel. Thou hast notbroughtme the small cattleof thy burnt offerings; neitherhast thou honoredme with thy sacrifices. I have notcaused thee to servewith an offering, norweariedthee with incense. Thou hast boughtme nosweet canewith money, neitherhast thou filledme with the fatof thy sacrifices: butthou hast made me to servewith thy sins, thou hast weariedme with thine iniquities. I, even I, am hethat blotteth outthy transgressionsfor mine own sake, and will notrememberthy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us pleadtogether: declarethou, thatthou mayest be justified. Thy firstfatherhath sinned, and thy teachershave transgressedagainst me. Therefore I have profanedthe princesof the sanctuary, and have givenJacobto the curse, and Israelto reproaches.
