My son, forgetnotmy law; but let thine heartkeepmy commandments: Forlengthof days, and longlife, and peace, shall they addto thee. Let notmercyand truthforsakethee: bindthem aboutthy neck; writethem uponthe tableof thine heart: So shalt thou findfavorand goodunderstandingin the sightof Godand man. Trustinthe LORDwith allthine heart; and leannotuntothine own understanding. In allthy waysacknowledgehim, and heshall directthy paths. Benotwisein thine own eyes: fearthe LORD, and departfrom evil. It shall behealthto thy navel, and marrowto thy bones. Honorthe LORDwith thy substance, and with the firstfruitsof allthine increase: So shall thy barnsbe filledwith plenty, and thy pressesshall burst outwith new wine. My son, despisenotthe chasteningof the LORD; neitherbe wearyof his correction: Forwhomthe LORDlovethhe correcteth; even as a fatherthe son in whom he delighteth. Whenthou liest down, thou shalt notbe afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleepshall be sweet. Be notafraidof suddenfear, neither of the desolationof the wicked, whenit cometh. Forthe LORDshall bethy confidence, and shall keepthy footfrom being taken. Withholdnotgoodfrom them to whom it is due, when it isin the powerof thine handto do it . Saynotunto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, and tomorrowI will give; when thou hastit bythee. Devisenotevilagainstthy neighbor, seeing hedwellethsecurelybythee. Strivenotwitha manwithout cause, ifhe have donethee noharm. Envythou notthe oppressor, and choosenoneof his ways. Forthe froward is abominationto the LORD: but his secret is withthe righteous. The curseof the LORD is in the houseof the wicked: but he blesseththe habitationof the just. Surelyhescorneththe scorners: but he givethgraceunto the lowly. The wiseshall inheritglory: but shameshall be the promotionof fools.
