And the angelof the LORDappeareduntohim in a flameof fireout of the midstof a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bushburnedwith fire, and the bush was notconsumed. And Mosessaid, I will nowturn aside, and seethisgreatsight, whythe bushis notburnt. And when the LORDsawthathe turned asideto see, Godcalleduntohim out of the midstof the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nighhither: put offthy shoesfrom offthy feet, forthe placewhereonthoustandest is holyground. Moreover he said, I am the Godof thy father, the Godof Abraham, the Godof Isaac, and the Godof Jacob. And Moseshidhis face; forhe was afraidto lookuponGod. And the LORDsaid, I have surely seenthe afflictionof my peoplewhich are in Egypt, and have heardtheir cryby reason oftheir taskmasters; forI knowtheir sorrows; And I am come downto deliverthem out of the handof the Egyptians, and to bring them upout ofthatlanduntoa goodlandand a large, untoa landflowingwith milkand honey; untothe placeof the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Nowtherefore, behold, the cryof the childrenof Israelis comeuntome: and I have alsoseenthe oppressionwherewiththe Egyptiansoppressthem. Comenowtherefore, and I will sendthee untoPharaoh, that thou mayest bring forthmy peoplethe childrenof Israelout of Egypt. And MosessaiduntoGod, Who am I, thatI should gountoPharaoh, and thatI should bring forththe childrenof Israelout of Egypt? And he said, CertainlyI will bewiththee; and this shall be a tokenunto thee, thatIhave sentthee: When thou hast brought forththe peopleout of Egypt, ye shall serveGoduponthismountain. And MosessaiduntoGod, Behold, when Icomeuntothe childrenof Israel, and shall sayunto them, The Godof your fathershath sentme untoyou; and they shall sayto me, What is his name? whatshall I sayuntothem? And GodsaiduntoMoses, I AMTHATI AM: and he said, Thusshalt thou sayunto the childrenof Israel, I AMhath sentme untoyou. And GodsaidmoreoveruntoMoses, Thusshalt thou sayuntothe childrenof Israel, The LORDGodof your fathers, the Godof Abraham, the Godof Isaac, and the Godof Jacob, hath sentme untoyou: this is my nameforever, and this is my memorialunto all generations. Go, and gatherthe eldersof Israeltogether, and sayuntothem, The LORDGodof your fathers, the Godof Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeareduntome, saying, I have surely visitedyou, and seen that which is doneto you in Egypt: And I have said, I will bring you upout of the afflictionof Egyptuntothe landof the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, untoa landflowingwith milkand honey. And they shall hearkento thy voice: and thou shalt come, thouand the eldersof Israel, untothe kingof Egypt, and ye shall sayuntohim, The LORDGodof the Hebrewshath metwithus: and nowlet us go, we beseech thee, threedays' journeyinto the wilderness, that we may sacrificeto the LORDour God. And Iam surethatthe kingof Egyptwill notletyou go, no, not by a mightyhand. And I will stretch outmy hand, and smiteEgyptwith allmy wonderswhichI will doin the midstthereof: and afterthathe will let you go. And I will givethispeoplefavorin the sightof the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, whenye go, ye shall notgoempty: But every womanshall borrowof her neighbor, and of her that sojournethin her house, jewelsof silver, and jewelsof gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them uponyour sons, and uponyour daughters; and ye shall spoilthe Egyptians.
