ThensangMosesand the childrenof Israelthissongunto the LORD, and spoke, saying, I will singunto the LORD, forhe hath triumphed gloriously: the horseand his riderhath he throwninto the sea. The LORD is my strengthand song, and he is becomemy salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalthim. The LORD is a manof war: the LORD is his name. Pharaoh's chariotsand his hosthath he castinto the sea: his chosencaptainsalso are drownedin the Redsea. The depthshave coveredthem: they sankinto the bottomasa stone. Thy right hand, O LORD, is become gloriousin power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in piecesthe enemy. And in the greatnessof thine excellencythou hast overthrownthem that rose up againstthee: thou sentest forththy wrath, which consumedthem as stubble. And with the blastof thy nostrilsthe waterswere gathered together, the floodsstood uprightasa heap, and the depthswere congealedin the heartof the sea. The enemysaid, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will dividethe spoil; my lustshall be satisfiedupon them; I will drawmy sword, my handshall destroythem. Thou didst blowwith thy wind, the seacoveredthem: they sankas leadin the mightywaters. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, gloriousin holiness, fearful in praises, doingwonders? Thou stretchedst outthy right hand, the earthswallowedthem. Thou in thy mercyhast led forththe peoplewhichthou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strengthuntothy holyhabitation. The peopleshall hear, and be afraid: sorrowshall take holdon the inhabitantsof Philistia. Thenthe dukesof Edomshall be amazed; the mighty menof Moab, tremblingshall take hold uponthem; allthe inhabitantsof Canaanshall melt away. Fearand dreadshall falluponthem; by the greatnessof thine armthey shall be as stillas a stone; tillthy peoplepass over, O LORD, tillthe peoplepass over, whichthou hast purchased. Thou shalt bring them in, and plantthem in the mountainof thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast madefor thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy handshave established. The LORDshall reignforeverand ever. Forthe horseof Pharaohwent inwith his chariotsand with his horsemeninto the sea, and the LORDbrought againthe watersof the seauponthem; but the childrenof Israelwenton dry land in the midstof the sea. And Miriamthe prophetess, the sisterof Aaron, tooka timbrelin her hand; and allthe womenwent outafterher with timbrelsand with dances. And Miriamansweredthem, Singye to the LORD, forhe hath triumphed gloriously; the horseand his riderhath he throwninto the sea. So MosesbroughtIsraelfrom the Red sea, and they went outintothe wildernessof Shur; and they wentthreedaysin the wilderness, and foundnowater. And when they cameto Marah, they couldnotdrinkof the watersof Marah, forthey were bitter: thereforethe nameof it was calledMarah. And the peoplemurmuredagainstMoses, saying, Whatshall we drink? And he crieduntothe LORD; and the LORDshowedhim a tree, which when he had castintothe waters, the waterswere made sweet: therehe madefor them a statuteand an ordinance, and therehe provedthem, And said, Ifthou wilt diligently hearkento the voiceof the LORDthy God, and wilt dothat which is rightin his sight, and wilt give earto his commandments, and keepallhis statutes, I will putnoneof these diseasesuponthee, whichI have broughtupon the Egyptians: forI am the LORDthat healeththee. And they cameto Elim, where were twelvewellsof water, and threescore and tenpalm trees: and they encampedtherebythe waters.
