And ye shall observethisthingfor an ordinanceto thee and to thy sonsforever. And it shall come to pass, whenye be cometothe landwhichthe LORDwill giveyou, according ashe hath promised, that ye shall keepthisservice. And it shall come to pass, whenyour childrenshall sayuntoyou, Whatmean ye by thisservice? That ye shall say, It is the sacrificeof the LORD's passover, whopassedoverthe housesof the childrenof Israelin Egypt, when he smotethe Egyptians, and deliveredour houses. And the peoplebowed the headand worshiped. And the childrenof Israelwent away, and didasthe LORDhad commandedMosesand Aaron, sodidthey. And it came to pass, that at midnightthe LORDsmoteallthe firstbornin the landof Egypt, from the firstbornof Pharaohthat satonhis throneuntothe firstbornof the captivethat was in the dungeon; and allthe firstbornof cattle. And Pharaohrose upin the night, he, and allhis servants, and allthe Egyptians; and there wasa greatcryin Egypt; for there was nota housewhere there was notone dead. And he calledfor Mosesand Aaronby night, and said, Rise up, and get you forthfrom amongmy people, bothyeandthe childrenof Israel; and go, servethe LORD, as ye have said. Alsotakeyour flocksandyour herds, asye have said, and be gone; and blessme also. And the Egyptianswere urgentuponthe people, that they might send them outofthe landin haste; forthey said, We be alldead men . And the peopletooktheir doughbeforeit was leavened, their kneading troughsbeing bound upin their clothesupontheir shoulders. And the childrenof Israeldidaccording to the wordof Moses; and they borrowedof the Egyptiansjewelsof silver, and jewelsof gold, and raiment: And the LORDgavethe peoplefavorin the sightof the Egyptians, so that they lentunto them such things as they required . And they spoiledthe Egyptians. And the childrenof Israeljourneyedfrom Ramesesto Succoth, about sixhundredthousandon foot that were men, besidechildren. And a mixedmultitudewent upalsowiththem; and flocks, and herds, even verymuchcattle. And they bakedunleavenedcakesof the doughwhichthey brought forthout of Egypt, forit was not leavened; becausethey were thrust outof Egypt, and couldnottarry, neitherhad they preparedfor themselves any victual. Now the sojourningof the childrenof Israel, whodweltin Egypt, was fourhundredand thirtyyears. And it came to passat the endof the fourhundredand thirtyyears, even the selfsamedayit came to pass, that allthe hostsof the LORDwent outfrom the landof Egypt. It is a nightto be much observedunto the LORDfor bringing them outfrom the landof Egypt: this is thatnightof the LORDto be observedof allthe childrenof Israelin their generations. And the LORDsaiduntoMosesand Aaron, This is the ordinanceof the passover: There shall nostrangereatthereof: But everyman's servantthat is boughtfor money, when thou hast circumcisedhim, thenshall he eatthereof.
