To the chief Musician, A Psalmof David. Blessed is he that considereththe poor: the LORDwill deliverhim in timeof trouble. The LORDwill preservehim, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessedupon the earth: and thou wilt notdeliverhim unto the willof his enemies. The LORDwill strengthenhim uponthe bedof languishing: thou wilt makeallhis bedin his sickness. Isaid, LORD, be mercifulunto me: healmy soul; forI have sinnedagainst thee. Mine enemiesspeakevilof me, Whenshall he die, and his nameperish? And ifhe cometo see me , he speakethvanity: his heartgatherethiniquityto itself; when he goethabroad, he telleth it . Allthat hateme whispertogetheragainstme: againstme do they devisemy hurt. An evildisease, say they , cleaveth fastunto him: and now thathe liethhe shall rise upnomore. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whomI trusted, which did eatof my bread, hath lifted up his heelagainstme. But thou, O LORD, be mercifulunto me, and raise me up, that I may requitethem. By thisI knowthatthou favorestme, becausemine enemydoth nottriumphoverme. And as for me, thou upholdestme in mine integrity, and settestme before thy faceforever. Blessed be the LORDGodof Israelfrom everlasting, and toeverlasting. Amen, and Amen.
