To the chief Musician, A Psalm of Davidthe servantof the LORD. The transgressionof the wickedsaithwithinmy heart, that there is nofearof Godbeforehis eyes. Forhe flatterethhimself in his own eyes, until his iniquitybe foundto be hateful. The wordsof his mouth are iniquityand deceit: he hath left offto be wise, and to do good. He devisethmischiefuponhis bed; he setteth himselfina way that is notgood; he abhorrethnotevil. Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth untothe clouds. Thy righteousness is like the greatmountains; thy judgments are a greatdeep: O LORD, thou preservestmanand beast. Howexcellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the childrenof menput their trustunder the shadowof thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfiedwith the fatnessof thy house; and thou shalt make them drinkof the riverof thy pleasures. Forwiththee is the fountainof life: in thy lightshall we seelight. O continuethy lovingkindnessunto them that knowthee; and thy righteousnessto the uprightin heart. Let notthe footof pridecome againstme, and let notthe handof the wickedremoveme. Thereare the workersof iniquityfallen: they are cast down, and shall notbe ableto rise.
