To the chief Musician, A Psalmof David. The heavensdeclarethe gloryof God; and the firmamentshowethhis handiwork. Dayunto dayutterethspeech, and nightunto nightshowethknowledge. There is nospeechnorlanguage, where their voiceis notheard. Their lineis gone outthrough allthe earth, and their wordsto the endof the world. In them hath he seta tabernaclefor the sun, Which is as a bridegroomcoming outof his chamber, and rejoicethas a strong manto runa race. His going forth is from the endof the heaven, and his circuituntothe endsof it: and there is nothinghidfrom the heatthereof. The lawof the LORD is perfect, convertingthe soul: the testimonyof the LORD is sure, making wisethe simple. The statutesof the LORD are right, rejoicingthe heart: the commandmentof the LORD is pure, enlighteningthe eyes. The fearof the LORD is clean, enduringforever: the judgmentsof the LORD are true and righteousaltogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than muchfine gold: sweeteralso than honeyand the honeycomb. Moreoverby them is thy servantwarned: and in keepingof them there is greatreward. Whocan understand his errors? cleansethou me from secret faults . Keep backthy servantalsofrom presumptuous sins ; let them nothave dominionover me: thenshall I be upright, and I shall be innocentfrom the greattransgression. Let the wordsof my mouth, and the meditationof my heart, beacceptablein thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
