So thesethreemenceasedto answerJob, becausehe was righteousin his own eyes. Then was kindledthe wrathof Elihuthe sonof Barachelthe Buzite, of the kindredof Ram: against Jobwas his wrathkindled, becausehe justifiedhimselfrather than God. Also against his threefriendswas his wrathkindled, becausethey had foundnoanswer, and yet had condemnedJob. Now Elihuhad waitedtill Jobhad spoken, becausethey were elderthanhe. When Elihusawthat there was noanswerin the mouthof these threemen, then his wrathwas kindled. And Elihuthe sonof Barachelthe Buziteansweredand said, I am young, and ye are very old; whereforeI was afraid, and durstnot showyou mine opinion. I said, Daysshould speak, and multitudeof yearsshould teachwisdom. But there is a spiritin man: and the inspirationof the Almightygiveth them understanding. Greatmen are not always wise: neither do the agedunderstandjudgment. ThereforeI said, Hearkento me; Ialsowill showmine opinion. Behold, I waitedfor your words; I gave eartoyour reasons, whilstye searched outwhat to say. Yea, I attendeduntoyou, and, behold, there was noneofyou that convincedJob, or that answeredhis words: Lestye should say, We have found outwisdom: Godthrusteth him down, notman. Now he hath notdirected his wordsagainstme: neitherwill I answerhim with your speeches. They were amazed, they answerednomore: they left offspeaking. When I had waited, ( forthey spokenot, butstood still, and answerednomore;) I said , Iwill answeralsomy part, Ialsowill showmine opinion. ForI am fullof matter, the spiritwithinme constrainethme. Behold, my belly is as wine which hath novent; it is ready to burstlike newbottles. I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will openmy lipsand answer. Let me not, I pray you, acceptany man's person, neitherlet me give flattering titlesuntoman. ForI knownotto give flattering titles; in so doing my makerwould soontake me away.
