Then answeredZopharthe Naamathite, and said, Thereforedo my thoughtscause me to answer, and for this I make haste. I have heardthe checkof my reproach, and the spiritof my understandingcauseth me to answer. Knowestthou not thisofold, sincemanwas placeduponearth, Thatthe triumphingof the wicked is short, and the joyof the hypocrite but fora moment? Thoughhis excellencymount upto the heavens, and his headreachunto the clouds; Yet he shall perishforeverlike his own dung: they which have seenhim shall say, Where is he? He shall fly awayas a dream, and shall notbe found: yea, he shall be chased awayas a visionof the night. The eyealso which sawhim shall see him nomore; neithershall his placeany morebeholdhim. His childrenshall seek to pleasethe poor, and his handsshall restoretheir goods. His bonesare full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie downwithhim inthe dust. Thoughwickednessbe sweetin his mouth, though he hideit underhis tongue; Though he spareit, and forsakeit not; but keep it stillwithinhis mouth: Yet his meatin his bowelsis turned, it is the gallof aspswithinhim. He hath swallowed downriches, and he shall vomit them up again: Godshall cast them outofhis belly. He shall suckthe poisonof asps: the viper's tongueshall slayhim. He shall notseethe rivers, the floods, the brooksof honeyand butter. That which he labored forshall he restore, and shall notswallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be , and he shall notrejoice therein . Becausehe hath oppressed and hath forsakenthe poor; because he hath violently taken awaya housewhich he builtnot; Surelyhe shall notfeelquietnessin his belly, he shall notsaveof that which he desired. There shall noneof his meatbe left; thereforeshall noman lookfor his goods. In the fullnessof his sufficiencyhe shall be in straits: everyhandof the wickedshall comeupon him. When heis about to fillhis belly, God shall castthe furyof his wrathupon him, and shall rain it uponhim while he is eating. He shall fleefrom the ironweapon, and the bowof steelshall strike him through. It is drawn, and cometh outof the body; yea, the glittering swordcomethout of his gall: terrors are uponhim. Alldarkness shall be hidin his secret places: a firenotblownshall consumehim; it shall go illwith him that is leftin his tabernacle. The heavenshall revealhis iniquity; and the earthshall rise upagainst him. The increaseof his houseshall depart, and his goods shall flow awayin the dayof his wrath. This is the portionof a wickedmanfrom God, and the heritageappointedunto him by God.
