And when the queenof Shebahad seenthe wisdomof Solomon, and the housethathe had built, And the meatof his table, and the sittingof his servants, and the attendanceof his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearersalso, and their apparel; and his ascentby whichhe went upinto the houseof the LORD; there wasnomorespiritin her. And she saidtothe king, It was a truereportwhichI heardin mine own landofthine acts, and ofthy wisdom: Howbeit I believednottheir words, untilI came, and mine eyeshad seen it : and, behold, the one halfof the greatnessof thy wisdomwas nottoldme: for thou exceedestthe famethatI heard. Happy are thy men, and happy are thesethy servants, which standcontinuallybeforethee, and hearthy wisdom. Blessedbethe LORDthy God, whichdelightedin thee to setthee onhis throne, to be kingfor the LORDthy God: because thy GodlovedIsrael, to establishthem forever, therefore madehe thee kingoverthem, to dojudgmentand justice. And she gavethe kinga hundredand twentytalentsof gold, and of spicesgreatabundance, and preciousstones: neitherwasthere any suchspiceasthe queenof ShebagavekingSolomon. And the servantsalsoof Huram, and the servantsof Solomon, whichbroughtgoldfrom Ophir, broughtalgumtreesand preciousstones. And the kingmade of the algumtreesterracesto the houseof the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harpsand psalteriesfor singers: and there were nonesuchseenbeforein the landof Judah. And kingSolomongaveto the queenof Shebaallher desire, whatsoevershe asked, beside that whichshe had broughtuntothe king. So she turned, and went awayto her own land, sheand her servants. Now the weightof goldthatcameto Solomonin oneyearwassixhundredand threescoreand sixtalentsof gold; Beside that which chapmenand merchantsbrought. And allthe kingsof Arabiaand governorsof the countrybroughtgoldand silverto Solomon. And kingSolomonmadetwo hundredtargets of beatengold: sixhundred shekels of beatengoldwenttoonetarget. And threehundredshields made he of beatengold: threehundred shekels of goldwenttooneshield. And the kingputthem in the houseof the forestof Lebanon. Moreover the kingmadea greatthroneof ivory, and overlaidit with puregold. And there were sixstepsto the throne, with a footstoolof gold, which were fastenedto the throne, and stayson each sideofthe sittingplace, and twolionsstandingbythe stays: And twelvelionsstoodthereon the one sideand on the otheruponthe sixsteps. There was notthe likemadein anykingdom. And allthe drinkingvesselsof kingSolomon were of gold, and allthe vesselsof the houseof the forestof Lebanon were of puregold: none were of silver; it was not any thingaccountedof in the daysof Solomon. Forthe king's shipswentto Tarshishwiththe servantsof Huram: every threeyearsoncecamethe shipsof Tarshishbringinggold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. And kingSolomonpassedallthe kingsof the earthin richesand wisdom. And allthe kingsof the earthsoughtthe presenceof Solomon, to hearhis wisdom, thatGodhad putin his heart. And theybroughtevery manhis present, vesselsof silver, and vesselsof gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rateyearby year. And Solomonhadfourthousandstallsfor horsesand chariots, and twelvethousandhorsemen; whom he bestowedin the chariotcities, and withthe kingat Jerusalem. And he reignedover allthe kingsfromthe rivereven untothe landof the Philistines, and tothe borderof Egypt. And the kingmadesilverin Jerusalemas stones, and cedar treesmadehe as the sycamore treesthat are in the low plainsin abundance. And they broughtunto Solomonhorsesout of Egypt, and out of alllands. Now the restof the actsof Solomon, firstand last, are theynotwritteninthe bookof Nathanthe prophet, and inthe prophecyof Ahijahthe Shilonite, and in the visionsof Iddothe seeragainstJeroboamthe sonof Nebat? And Solomonreignedin JerusalemoverallIsraelfortyyears. And Solomonsleptwithhis fathers, and he was buriedin the cityof Davidhis father: and Rehoboamhis sonreignedin his stead.
