Thus allthe workthatSolomonmadefor the houseof the LORDwas finished: and Solomonbrought in all the thingsthat Davidhis fatherhad dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and allthe instruments, puthe among the treasuresof the houseof God. ThenSolomonassembledthe eldersof Israel, and allthe headsof the tribes, the chiefof the fathersof the childrenof Israel, untoJerusalem, to bring upthe arkof the covenantof the LORDout of the cityof David, which is Zion. Wherefore allthe menof Israelassembled themselvesuntothe kingin the feastwhich was in the seventhmonth. And allthe eldersof Israelcame; and the Levitestook upthe ark. And they brought upthe ark, and the tabernacleof the congregation, and allthe holyvesselsthat were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levitesbring up. Also kingSolomon, and allthe congregationof Israelthat were assembleduntohim beforethe ark, sacrificedsheepand oxen, whichcould notbe toldnornumberedfor multitude. And the priestsbrought inthe arkof the covenantof the LORDuntohis place, tothe oracleof the house, intothe most holy place, even underthe wingsof the cherubims: For the cherubimsspread forth their wingsoverthe placeof the ark, and the cherubimscoveredthe arkand the stavesthereof above. And they drew outthe staves of the ark , that the endsof the staveswere seenfromthe arkbeforethe oracle; but they were notseenwithout. And thereit isuntothisday. There was nothingin the arksavethe twotableswhichMosesput therein at Horeb, whenthe LORDmade a covenant withthe childrenof Israel, when they came outof Egypt. And it came to pass, when the priestswere come outofthe holy place : ( forallthe priests that were presentwere sanctified, and did not then waitby course: Also the Levites which were the singers, allof them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sonsand their brethren, being arrayedin white linen, having cymbalsand psalteriesand harps, stoodat the east endof the altar, and withthem a hundredand twentypriestssoundingwith trumpets:) It came even to pass, as the trumpetersand singers were as one, to make onesoundto be heardin praisingand thankingthe LORD; and when they lifted up their voicewith the trumpetsand cymbalsand instrumentsof music, and praisedthe LORD, saying , For he is good; forhis mercy endureth forever: that then the housewas filledwith a cloud, even the houseof the LORD; So that the priestscouldnotstandto ministerby reason ofthe cloud: forthe gloryof the LORDhad filledthe houseof God.
