And the kingof BabylonmadeMattaniahhis father's brotherkingin his stead, and changedhis nameto Zedekiah. Zedekiah was twentyand oneyearsoldwhen he began to reign, and he reignedelevenyearsin Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughterof Jeremiahof Libnah. And he did that which was evilin the sightof the LORD, according to allthatJehoiakimhad done. Forthroughthe angerof the LORDit came to passin Jerusalemand Judah, untilhe had cast them outfromhis presence, that Zedekiahrebelledagainst the kingof Babylon.
