Forwe knowthatifourearthlyhouseof this tabernaclewere dissolved, we havea buildingofGod, a housenot made with hands, eternalintheheavens. Forinthiswegroan, earnestly desiringto be clothed uponwith ourhousewhichis fromheaven: If so bethatbeing clothedwe shall notbe foundnaked. Forwe that arein this tabernacledo groan, being burdened: notfor thatwe wouldbe unclothed, butclothed upon, thatmortalitymight be swallowed upoflife. Nowhe that hath wroughtusforthe selfsame thing is God, who also hath givenunto ustheearnestof theSpirit. Therefore we are alwaysconfident, knowingthat, whilst we are at homeinthebody, we are absentfromtheLord: ( Forwe walkbyfaith, notbysight:) We are confident, I say, andwillingratherto be absentfromthebody, andto be presentwiththeLord. Whereforewelabor, that, whetherpresentorabsent, we may beacceptedof him. Forwemustallappearbeforethejudgment seatof Christ; thatevery onemay receivethe things done in his body, accordingto thathe hath done, whether it be goodorbad. Knowingthereforetheterrorof theLord, we persuademen; butwe are made manifestunto God; andI trustalsoare made manifestinyourconsciences. Forwe commendnotourselvesagainunto you, butgiveyouoccasionto gloryon our behalf, thatye may havesomewhat to answer them which gloryinappearance, andnotin heart. Forwhetherwe be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whetherwe be sober, it is for your cause. Fortheloveof Christconstrainethus; because we thusjudge, thatifonediedforall, thenwere all dead: And that he diedforall, thatthey which liveshould not henceforthliveunto themselves, butunto him which diedforthem, androse again. Whereforehenceforthknowweno manafterthe flesh: yea, thoughwe have knownChristafterthe flesh, yetnowhenceforth knowwe him no more. Thereforeif any man be inChrist, he is a newcreature: old thingsare passed away; behold, all thingsare becomenew. Andall things are ofGod, who hath reconciledusto himselfbyJesusChrist, andhath givento ustheministryof reconciliation; To wit, thatGodwasinChrist, reconcilingthe worldunto himself, notimputingtheirtrespassesunto them; andhath committeduntousthewordof reconciliation. Now thenwe are ambassadorsforChrist, as thoughGoddid beseech you byus; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciledto God. Forhe hath madehim to be sinforus, who knewnosin; thatwemight be madethe righteousnessof Godinhim.
