Forwhetherwelive, we liveunto theLord; andwhetherwe die, we dieunto theLord: whetherwe livetherefore, ordie, we aretheLord's. Fortothis endChristbothdied, androse, andrevived, thathe might be Lordbothof the deadandliving. Butwhydost thoujudgethybrother? orwhydost thouset at naughtthybrother? forwe shall allstand beforethejudgment seatof Christ. Forit is written, As Ilive, saiththe Lord, everykneeshall bowto me, andeverytongueshall confessto God. Sothenevery oneof usshall giveaccountofhimselfto God. Let us not therefore judgeone anotherany more: butjudgethisrather, that no manputa stumblingblockoran occasion to fallin his brother's way. I know, andam persuadedbythe LordJesus, that there is nothinguncleanofitself: butto him that esteemethany thingto beunclean, to him it is unclean. Butifthybrotherbe grievedwith thy meat, now walkest thou notcharitably. Destroynothimwith thymeat, forwhomChristdied. Let notthenyourgoodbe evil spoken of: Forthekingdomof Godisnotmeatanddrink; butrighteousness, andpeace, andjoyinthe HolyGhost. Forhe that inthese thingsservethChrist is acceptableto God, andapprovedof men. Let us therefore follow afterthe thingswhich make for peace, andthingswherewith one may edifyanother. Formeatdestroynottheworkof God. All thingsindeed are pure; but it is evilfor that manwho eatethwithoffense. It is goodneitherto eatflesh, norto drinkwine, nor any thing wherebythybrotherstumbleth, oris offended, oris made weak. Hastthoufaith? have it tothyselfbeforeGod. Happy is he that condemnethnothimselfinthat thing whichhe alloweth. Andhe that doubtethis damnedifhe eat, because he eateth notoffaith: forwhatsoever is notoffaithissin.
