Andafter theuproarwas ceased, Paulcalled unto him thedisciples, andembraced them, and departedfor to gointoMacedonia. Andwhen he had gone overthoseparts, andhad giventhemmuchexhortation, he cameintoGreece, And there abodethreemonths. And whentheJewslaid wait forhim, as he was aboutto sailintoSyria, he purposedto returnthroughMacedonia. Andthere accompaniedhimintoAsiaSopaterof Berea; andof the Thessalonians, AristarchusandSecundus; andGaiusof Derbe, andTimothy; andof Asia, TychicusandTrophimus. Thesegoing beforetarriedfor usatTroas. Andwesailed awayfromPhilippiafterthedaysof unleavened bread, andcameuntothemtoTroasinfivedays; wherewe abodesevendays. Anduponthefirst day of theweek, when thedisciplescame togetherto breakbread, Paulpreachedunto them, readyto departon themorrow; andcontinuedhis speechuntilmidnight. Andthere weremanylightsintheupper chamber, wherethey weregathered together. Andthere satina windowa certainyoung mannamedEutychus, being fallen intoa deepsleep: and as Paulwaslongpreaching, he sunk downwithsleep, and felldownfromthethird loft, andwas taken updead. AndPaulwent down, and fell onhim, andembracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; forhislifeisinhim. Whenhe therefore was come up again, andhad brokenbread, andeaten, andtalkeda long while, even tillbreak of day, sohe departed. Andthey broughttheyoung manalive, andwere nota littlecomforted. Andwewent beforetoship, and saileduntoAssos, thereintendingto take inPaul: forsohadhe appointed, mindinghimselfto go afoot. Andwhenhe metwith usatAssos, we took him in, and cametoMitylene. And we sailed thence, and camethenext day over againstChios; andthenext day we arrivedatSamos, andtarriedatTrogyllium; and thenext day we cametoMiletus. ForPaulhad determinedto sail byEphesus, becausehewouldnotspend the timeinAsia: forhe hasted, ifit werepossiblefor him, to beatJerusalemthedayof Pentecost. AndfromMiletushe senttoEphesus, and calledtheeldersof thechurch. Andwhenthey were cometohim, he saidunto them, Yeknow, fromthe firstdaythatI cameintoAsia, after what mannerI have beenwithyouat allseasons, ServingtheLordwithallhumility of mind, andwith manytears, andtemptations, which befellmebythelying in waitof theJews: And howI kept backnothingthat was profitable unto you, but have showedyou, andhave taughtyoupublicly, andfrom house to house, Testifyingbothto the Jews, andalso to the Greeks, repentancetowardGod, andfaithtowardourLordJesusChrist. Andnow, behold, Igoboundin thespirituntoJerusalem, notknowingthe things that shall befallmethere: SavethattheHolyGhostwitnessethin every city, sayingthatbondsandafflictionsabideme. Butnone of these things move me, neithercountI mylifedearunto myself, so thatI might finishmycoursewithjoy, andtheministry, whichI have receivedoftheLordJesus, to testifythegospelof thegraceof God. Andnow, behold, Iknowthatyeall, amongwhomI have gonepreachingthekingdomof God, shall seemyfaceno more. WhereforeI take you to recordthisday, thatI am purefromthebloodof all men. ForI have notshunnedtodeclareunto youallthecounselof God. Take heedthereforeunto yourselves, andto alltheflock, overthe whichtheHolyGhosthath madeyouoverseers, to feedthechurchof God, whichhe hath purchasedwithhis ownblood. ForIknowthis, thataftermydepartingshall grievouswolvesenter inamongyou, notsparingtheflock. Alsoofyour own selvesshall menarise, speakingperverse things, to draw awaydisciplesafterthem. Thereforewatch, and remember, thatby the space of three yearsI ceasednotto warneveryonenightanddaywithtears. Andnow, brethren, I commendyouto God, andto thewordof hisgrace, which is ableto build you up, andto giveyouan inheritanceamongallthem which are sanctified. I have covetedno man's silver, orgold, orapparel. Yea, yeyourselves know, thatthesehandshave ministeredunto mynecessities, andto them that werewithme. I have showedyouall things, how thatsolaboringye oughtto supporttheweak, andto rememberthewordsof theLordJesus, howhesaid, It ismoreblessed to givethan to receive. Andwhen he had thusspoken, he kneeled down, and prayedwiththemall. Andthey all wept sore, andfellonPaul's neck, and kissedhim, Sorrowingmost of allforthewordswhichhe spake, thatthey shouldseehisfaceno more. Andthey accompaniedhimuntotheship.
