And when he hath found it, he layeth it onhisshoulders, rejoicing. And when he comethhome, he calleth together his friendsandneighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice withme; for I have foundmysheep which was lost. I say unto you, thatlikewisejoy shall beinheavenoveronesinner that repenteth, more thanover ninety and nine just persons, whichneednorepentance. Eitherwhatwomanhavingten pieces of silver, if she loseonepiece, doth notlight a candle, andsweepthehouse, andseekdiligentlytill she find it ? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice withme; for I have foundthepiecewhich I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there isjoy in the presence of theangels of Godoveronesinner that repenteth. Andhe said, A certainmanhadtwosons: Andtheyounger of themsaid to his father, Father, givemetheportion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. Andnotmanydaysaftertheyoungerson gathered all together, and took his journeyinto a farcountry, andtherewastedhissubstance with riotousliving. And when he had spentall, there arose a mightyfamineinthatland; andhebegan to be in want. And he went and joined himself to acitizen of thatcountry; and he senthimintohisfields to feedswine. And he would fain have filledhisbellywiththehusksthattheswine did eat: and no mangave unto him. And when he cametohimself, he said, How many hired servants of myfather's have bread enough and to spare, andIperish with hunger! I will arise and gotomyfather, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinnedagainstheaven, andbeforethee, Andam no moreworthy to be calledthyson: makemeasone of thy hired servants. And he arose, and cametohisfather. But when he was yet a great way off, hisfathersawhim, and had compassion, andran, and fellonhisneck, andkissedhim. Andthesonsaid unto him, Father, I have sinnedagainstheaven, and in thy sight, andam no moreworthy to be calledthyson. Butthefathersaidtohisservants, Bring forththebestrobe, and put it onhim; andput a ringonhishand, andshoeson his feet: And bring hitherthefattedcalf, and kill it ; and let us eat, and be merry: Forthismysonwasdead, and is alive again; he waslost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Nowhiseldersonwasin the field: andas he came and drew nigh to thehouse, he heardmusicanddancing. And he calledone of theservants, andaskedwhat these thingsmeant. Andhesaid unto him, Thybrother is come; andthyfather hath killedthefattedcalf, because he hath receivedhim safe and sound. And he was angry, andwouldnot go in: therefore came his father out, andentreatedhim. Andheansweringsaid to his father, Lo, these manyyears do I servethee, neithertransgressed I at any timethycommandment: and yet thou nevergavestme a kid, that I might make merrywithmyfriends: But as soon asthisthyson was come, which hath devoured thy livingwithharlots, thou hast killed for himthefattedcalf. Andhesaid unto him, Son, thouarteverwithme, andall that I haveisthine. It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: forthisthybrotherwasdead, and is alive again; andwaslost, and is found.
