In the yearthat kingUzziahdiedI sawalso the Lordsittingupona throne, highand lifted up, and his trainfilledthe temple. Aboveit stoodthe seraphims: each onehad six wingswith twainhe coveredhis face, and with twainhe coveredhis feet, and with twainhe did fly. And one crieduntoanother, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORDof hosts: the wholeearth is fullof his glory. And the postsof the doormovedat the voiceof him that cried, and the housewas filledwith smoke. Then saidI, Woe is me! forI am undone; becauseI am a manof uncleanlips, and Idwellin the midstof a peopleof uncleanlips: formine eyeshave seenthe King, the LORDof hosts. Then flewoneofthe seraphimsuntome, having a live coalin his hand, which he had takenwith the tongsfrom offthe altar: And he laid it uponmy mouth, and said, Lo, thishath touchedthy lips; and thine iniquityis taken away, and thy sinpurged. Also I heardthe voiceof the Lord, saying, Whomshall I send, and whowill gofor us? Then saidI, Here am I; sendme. And he said, Go, and tellthispeople, Hear ye indeed, but understandnot; and see ye indeed, but perceivenot. Make the heartof thispeoplefat, and make their earsheavy, and shuttheir eyes; lestthey seewith their eyes, and hearwith their ears, and understandwith their heart, and convert, and be healed. Then saidI, Lord, how long? And he answered, Untilthe citiesbe wastedwithoutinhabitant, and the houseswithoutman, and the landbe utterlydesolate, And the LORDhave removed men far away, and there be a greatforsakingin the midstof the land. But yetin it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall beeaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whosesubstance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holyseed shall be the substancethereof.
