Godthunderethmarvelouslywith his voice; great thingsdoethhe, which we cannotcomprehend. Forhe saithto the snow, Bethou on the earth; likewise to the smallrain, and to the greatrainof his strength. He sealeth upthe handof everyman; that allmenmay knowhis work. Then the beastsgointodens, and remainin their places. Out ofthe southcomeththe whirlwind: and coldout of the north. By the breathof Godfrostis given: and the breadthof the watersis straitened. Alsoby wateringhe wearieththe thick cloud: he scatterethhis brightcloud: And itis turnedround aboutby his counsels: that they may dowhatsoeverhe commandeththem uponthe faceof the worldin the earth. He causeth it to come, whetherfor correction, orfor his land, orfor mercy. Hearkenunto this, O Job: stand still, and considerthe wondrousworks of God. Dost thou knowwhen Goddisposedthem, and caused the lightof his cloudto shine? Dost thou knowthe balancingsof the clouds, the wondrous worksof him which is perfectin knowledge? Howthy garments are warm, when he quieteththe earthby the south wind ? Hast thou withhim spread outthe sky, which is strong, and as a moltenlooking glass? Teachus whatwe shall sayunto him; for we cannotorder our speech by reasonof darkness. Shall it be toldhim thatI speak? ifa manspeak, surelyhe shall be swallowed up. And now men seenotthe brightlightwhich is in the clouds: but the windpasseth, and cleanseththem. Fair weathercomethout of the north: withGod is terriblemajesty. Touching the Almighty, we cannotfind him out: he is excellentin power, and in judgment, and in plentyof justice: he will notafflict. Mendo thereforefearhim: he respectethnotany that are wiseof heart.
