Elihualso proceeded, and said, Sufferme a little, and I will showthee that I have yetto speakon God's behalf. I will fetchmy knowledgefrom afar, and will ascriberighteousnessto my Maker. Fortrulymy words shall not be false: he that is perfectin knowledge is withthee. Behold, God is mighty, and despisethnot any: he is mightyin strength and wisdom. He preserveth not the lifeof the wicked: but givethrightto the poor. He withdrawethnothis eyesfrom the righteous: but withkings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establishthem forever, and they are exalted. And if they be boundin fetters, and be holdenin cordsof affliction; Then he showeththem their work, and their transgressionsthatthey have exceeded. He openethalso their earto discipline, and commandeththatthey returnfrom iniquity. Ifthey obeyand serve him , they shall spendtheir daysin prosperity, and their yearsin pleasures. But ifthey obeynot, they shall perishby the sword, and they shall diewithoutknowledge. But the hypocritesin heartheap upwrath: they crynotwhenhe bindeththem. Theydiein youth, and their life is among the unclean. He delivereththe poorin his affliction, and openeththeir earsin oppression. Even sowould he have removedthee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is nostraitness; and that which should be seton thy table should be fullof fatness. But thou hast fulfilledthe judgmentof the wicked: judgmentand justicetake hold on thee . Because there is wrath, beware lesthe take thee awaywith his stroke: then a greatransomcannotdeliverthee. Will he esteemthy riches? no , notgold, nor allthe forcesof strength. Desirenotthe night, when peopleare cut offin their place. Take heed, regard notiniquity: forthishast thou chosenrather than affliction. Behold, Godexaltethby his power: whoteachethlike him? Whohath enjoinedhim his way? or whocan say, Thou hast wroughtiniquity? Rememberthatthou magnifyhis work, whichmenbehold. Everymanmay seeit; manmay behold it afar off. Behold, God is great, and we know him notneithercan the numberof his yearsbe searched out. Forhe maketh smallthe dropsof water: they pour downrainaccording to the vaporthereof: Whichthe cloudsdo drop and distilluponmanabundantly. Alsocan any understandthe spreadingsof the clouds, or the noiseof his tabernacle? Behold, he spreadethhis lightuponit, and covereththe bottomof the sea. Forby them judgethhe the people; he givethmeatin abundance. Withcloudshe covereththe light; and commandethit not to shine by the cloud that cometh between. The noisethereof showethconcerningit, the cattlealsoconcerningthe vapor.
