But Solomonwas buildinghis own housethirteenyears, and he finishedallhis house. He builtalso the houseof the forestof Lebanon; the lengththereof was a hundredcubits, and the breadththereof fiftycubits, and the heightthereof thirtycubits, uponfourrowsof cedarpillars, with cedarbeamsuponthe pillars. And it was coveredwith cedaraboveuponthe beams, that lay onfortyfivepillars, fifteen in a row. And there were windows in threerows, and light was againstlight in threeranks. And allthe doorsand posts were square, with the windows: and light was againstlight in threeranks. And he madea porchof pillars; the lengththereof was fiftycubits, and the breadththereof thirtycubits: and the porch was beforethem: and the other pillarsand the thick beam were beforethem. Then he madea porchfor the thronewherehe might judge, even the porchof judgment: and it was coveredwith cedarfrom one side of the floortothe other. And his housewherehe dwelt had anothercourtwithinthe porch, which wasof the likework. Solomonmadealso a housefor Pharaoh's daughter, whomhe had taken to wife , like unto thisporch. Allthese were of costlystones, according to the measuresof hewed stones, sawedwith saws, withinand without, even from the foundationuntothe coping, and so on the outsidetowardthe greatcourt. And the foundation was of costlystones, even greatstones, stonesof tencubits, and stonesof eightcubits. And above were costlystones, after the measuresof hewed stones, and cedars. And the greatcourtround about was with threerowsof hewed stones, and a rowof cedarbeams, both for the innercourtof the houseof the LORD, and for the porchof the house. And kingSolomonsentand fetchedHiramout of Tyre. He was a widow's sonof the tribeof Naphtali, and his father was a manof Tyre, a workerin brass: and he was filledwithwisdom, and understanding, and cunningto workallworksin brass. And he cametokingSolomon, and wroughtallhis work. For he casttwopillarsof brass, of eighteencubitshighapiece: and a lineof twelvecubitsdid compass either of them about. And he madetwochapiters of moltenbrass, to setuponthe topsof the pillars: the heightof the onechapiter was fivecubits, and the heightof the otherchapiter was fivecubits: And netsof checkerwork, and wreathsof chainwork, for the chapiterswhich were uponthe topof the pillars; sevenfor the onechapiter, and sevenfor the otherchapiter. And he madethe pillars, and tworowsround aboutuponthe onenetwork, to coverthe chapitersthat were uponthe top, with pomegranates: and sodidhe for the otherchapiter. And the chapitersthat were uponthe topof the pillars were of lilyworkin the porch, fourcubits. And the chapitersuponthe twopillars had pomegranates alsoabove, over againstthe bellywhich was bythe network: and the pomegranates were two hundredin rowsround aboutuponthe otherchapiter. And he set upthe pillarsin the porchof the temple: and he set upthe rightpillar, and calledthe namethereof Jachin: and he set upthe leftpillar, and calledthe namethereof Boaz. And uponthe topof the pillars was lilywork: so was the workof the pillarsfinished. And he madea moltensea, tencubitsfrom the one brimtothe other: it was roundall about, and his height was fivecubits: and a lineof thirtycubitsdid compassit round about. And underthe brimof it round about there were knopscompassingit, tenin a cubit, compassingthe searound about: the knops were castin tworows, when it was cast. It stoodupontwelveoxen, threelookingtoward the north, and threelookingtoward the west, and threelookingtoward the south, and threelookingtoward the east: and the sea was set aboveuponthem, and alltheir hinder parts were inward. And it was a handbreadththick, and the brimthereof was wroughtlike the brimof a cup, with flowersof lilies: it containedtwo thousandbaths. And he madetenbasesof brass; fourcubits was the lengthof onebase, and fourcubitsthe breadththereof, and threecubitsthe heightof it. And the workof the bases was on this manner : they had borders, and the borders were betweenthe ledges: And onthe bordersthat were betweenthe ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and uponthe ledges there was a baseabove: and beneaththe lionsand oxen were certain additionsmade of thinwork. And everybasehad fourbrazenwheels, and platesof brass: and the fourcornersthereof had undersetters: underthe laver were undersettersmolten, at the sideof everyaddition. And the mouthof it withinthe chapiterand above was a cubit: but the mouththereof was round after the workof the base, a cubitand a half: and alsouponthe mouthof it were gravingswith their borders, foursquare, notround. And underthe borders were fourwheels; and the axletreesof the wheels were joined to the base: and the heightof awheel was a cubitand halfa cubit. And the workof the wheels was like the workof a chariotwheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were allmolten. And there were fourundersetterstothe fourcornersof onebase: and the undersetters were ofthe very baseitself. And in the topof the base was there a roundcompassof halfa cubithigh: and onthe topof the basethe ledgesthereof and the bordersthereof were ofthe same. For onthe platesof the ledgesthereof, and onthe bordersthereof, he gravedcherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportionof every one, and additionsround about. After this manner he madethe tenbases: allof them had onecasting, onemeasure, and onesize. Then madehe tenlaversof brass: onelavercontainedfortybaths: and everylaverwas fourcubits: and uponevery oneof the tenbasesonelaver. And he putfivebasesonthe rightsideof the house, and fiveonthe leftsideof the house: and he setthe seaon the rightsideof the houseeastwardover againstthe south. And Hirammadethe lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hirammade an endof doingallthe workthathe madekingSolomonfor the houseof the LORD: The twopillars, and the two bowlsof the chapitersthat were onthe topof the twopillars; and the twonetworks, to coverthe twobowlsof the chapiterswhich were uponthe topof the pillars; And fourhundredpomegranatesfor the twonetworks, even tworowsof pomegranatesfor onenetwork, to coverthe twobowlsof the chapitersthat were uponthe pillars; And the tenbases, and tenlaversonthe bases; And onesea, and twelveoxenunderthe sea; And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and allthesevessels, whichHirammadeto kingSolomonfor the houseof the LORD, were of brightbrass. In the plainof Jordandid the kingcastthem, in the claygroundbetweenSuccothand Zarthan. And Solomonleftallthe vessels unweighed , because they were exceedingmany: neitherwas the weightof the brassfound out. And Solomonmadeallthe vesselsthat pertained unto the houseof the LORD: the altarof gold, and the tableof gold, whereuponthe shewbread was , And the candlesticksof puregold, fiveon the right side , and fiveon the left, beforethe oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold, And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers of puregold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doorsof the innerhouse, the mostholy place, and for the doorsof the house, to wit , of the temple. So was endedallthe workthatkingSolomonmadefor the houseof the LORD. And Solomonbrought inthe things which Davidhis fatherhad dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he putamong the treasuresof the houseof the LORD.
